The meteorology department states that Due to an atmospheric disturbance over Sri Lanka, showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island during the afternoon and night.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities.
