Central Province Security Commander Major General Mano Perera said search operations will continue today in search of survivors of the Meeriyabedda landslide.
Nearly 700 army soldiers and 52 airmen joined the search operations.
At the same time, a Bel-212 helicopter and a MI-17 helicopter have been kept stand-by at Nuwara Eliya and Ratmalana air force camps for emergency call.
The Disaster Management Center stated that 100 persons are missing in the landslide that occurred in Meeriyabedda at Koslanda.
According to their latest statistics, 330 residents belonging to 57 families had occupied the ill-fated line-rooms.
Disaster management centre said only 3 bodies of the missing have been recovered yet, and 66 houses were destroyed.
