Apr 8 (Island) Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that punitive action would be taken to discourage Tamil Nadu fishing fleet from poaching in Sri Lankan waters. He said that as an initial step fishing nets and other equipment would be confiscated in addition to legal action taken against poachers. The minister urged Sri Lankan fishermen not to stray into Indian waters
