Apr 1 (CT) Former Minister M.I. Munsoor, and one of the senior leaders of the UNP has sent a memorandum to President Maitripala Sirisena seeking a probe by a Presidential Commission into alleged malpractices and unlawful activities with regard to tsunami rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in the Ampara coastal areas. Memorandum states that the coastal areas of Amparai District had been badly destroyed in addition to loss of lives and assets in the 2004 tsunami disaster.
