Principal nabbed for soliciting bribe Feb 7 (DM) Principal of school in Mount Lavinia was arrested by the Bribery Commission officials today for soliciting a bribe of Rs.35, 000 to admit a student to grade one. The parent who had been asked to pay the bribe lodged a complaint with the commission. SSP Sarath Lokuge said that the Principal was arrested at his school office while accepting money from the parent. Principal’s office assistant was also arrested by the officials for aiding and abating the crime.
