A letter written by John Lennon has sold for more than $28,000 at auction. In the 1971 note, which was addressed to U.S. Tv host Joe Franklin, the Beatles legend praises the musical talents of his wife Yoko Ono and asks the small screen star to listen to her latest album. The letter sold for more than $28,000 when it went under the hammer in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday night.
