Dawn of the Planet of the Apes leading ticket pre-sales
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is leading ticket pre-sales going into a fiercely competitive weekend at the box office.The post-apocalyptic thriller holds the top spot, according to Fandango, but “The Purge: Anarchy” is also showing its muscle.
The film is the year’s biggest pre-selling horror movie, selling more tickets than such chillers as “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” and “Deliver Us from Evil”.
“The Purge” racked up $34 million when it debuted last summer.
