Mar 29 (ST) The Lodge, once known as Queen’s Cottage, in Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as Little England was once home for British Governors and the ruling elite. Since independence in 1948, it became the holiday resort of the Governor General, later PMs and now Presidents. Unknown to most Sri Lankans, this turned out to be a centre in the tea country highlands for the campaign to re-elect Mahinda Rajapaksa
